Dr Dave Hone introduced the Lauer Foundation to Denis Theda a PhD student at the University of Bonn. Denis works with Dr. Hone on Pterosaurs and was flying thru Chicago and wanted to meet us and take a look at one of the LF specimens. Denis was on his way to do field work in Montana. We picked up Denis and an associate at the airport and went to lunch at a near by restaurant. We were able to bring the specimen so Denis could examine it and make notes. LF had the specimen micro CT scanned and provided the data to Denis. Denis will work on this important specimen and hopefully produce a paper. We look forward to working with Denis.
