In late January the Lauer Foundation headed south to Tucson to attend the annual Tucson Fossil and Mineral show. This is a chance to see material from all over the world and visit old friends. Many scientifically important specimens were obtained here and have resulted in research papers. But it is about meeting people and renewing acquaintances as well as enjoying warmer weather. We also showed Field Museum Chief Preparer Akiko Shinya and Jelle around the show.
