The Lauer Foundation PSE was back at Edison Middle School, Wheaton, Illinois to present a special hands-on program to tie in with their 7th grade science curriculum. The Lauer Foundation PSE talked about understanding geology, paleontology and discussed how scientists use their knowledge of geology to find and study fossils. The Foundation also discussed how scientists use critical thinking skills to learn, research and publish their findings, and the importance of strong math skills and data analysis. The Foundation also shared plenty of hands-on materials with students and each student went home with their own ammonite fossil specimen.
